Composite roof tiles without building regs.
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.01 PM
Is it possible to have composite roof tiles on a new build conservatory under 30m2 and still not require building regs? I have a public sewer running under the build site and want to avoid having to ask permission from council and other authorities. I’ve been told the roof has to be glass or poly carb. Although composite look well better. Thanks in advance !

Also be aware you are not permitted to extend your heating into the conservatory, or remove your exosting doors on the back of the house otherwise it will be treated as an extension and require Building Regulations approval.

You should use build regs on all jobs, it’s there to protect you and your home for the future
