Mira go 8.5kw electric shower

Water runs lukewarm both elements have 14 ohms res.soloniod has no ohms but water is ok.thermal cut out is ok.could it be a faulty soloniod can anybody help.

Based on the information you have provided, the shower element resistance reading sounds about right,faulty solenoid usually will block water flow. I suspect its the micro switch (this allows current to get to the element) might have burned out, they are prone to. or flow valve possibly. Not having seen the shower.
Lukewarm water in a shower is common with electric showers. It can be due to a lack of power getting through to the micro switch, as mentioned above. This can happen when the switch is burned out or otherwise faulty. Or, a failing heating element (partially) will also mean that your water is not heating up like it should- but as I have stated above based on your information I would carry out a continuity test across the micro switch as I strongly suspect it to be faulty. A switch is not expensive to replace, but an element will cost slightly more if indeed it is the element. Obviously if you are not trained or unsure, please seek professional assistance. Be safe.
