Hozelock connectors

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.22 PM

I have a hozelock reel and connectors less than a year old. First of all after all the set up is done I connect the male point (which has aqua stop) to the end of the pipe. Now when I put the tap on in few seconds the aqua stop lead just bursts out. This means its unable to hold the pressure which is the basic function of aqua stop. The tap is the same as last year and so is the water source. Is this due to poor quality of Hozelock? Its made of plastic so I am thinking the teeth which grips the pipe has become loose. I an thinking of buying the brass ones. Anyone faced this problem? Any suggestions?

Hi, AquaStop fittings have there own valve which means water only flows through them in one direction. The AquaStop fittings are designed to go on the end of the hose reel to attach a spray head or other fitting. They shouldn't be used anywhere else in the hose line. Regards, Paul.
