Old Triton T90 - how many kWh?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.43 PM
Hi there, Does anyone know the kWh rating for the ancient original Triton T90? I’m referring to the beige coloured one that was manufactured in the 80’s. The label is worn on the one I found in the house we bought and I assume it was around 8.5-9.5, which is what the later T90XR offers. I want to replace like for like so the electrics won’t be an issue. Thanks!

Hi if you look at main cable if it's 6mil then it is 8.5
If cable is 10 mill then 9.5
I think you have a 8.5 shower
Hope this helps thanks

Hi Dermitchie
If you are looking to replace the unit it is probably better to look at the supply cable, as the existing unit may not have been installed to comply with current regulation. The size of cable will determine how powerful the new unit could be and still be safe.
I would advise you call a qualified electrician for professional advise.
