my foundation problem

The wall was knocked down to add an extension that has gone horribly wrong. I now have to rebuild the wall. Do I need to dig up the foundation before I replace the bricks?

no, if the existing wall was sound before you knocked it down, go ahead and rebuild your new wall onto the foundation.
