Can I dot and dab moisture resistant PB in a bathroom.

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.01 PM

I need to straighten out a internal wall in my bathroom which is not in a wet area. Currently the wall is ~20mm out of plumb and I am hoping to board first before tiling to save some hassle. My main concern is the small cavity that will be behind the boards if I just dot and dab, does anything need to be installed to stop moisture / condensation? Thanks in advance.

You should be ok! when dot and dabbing you will always get the void space, as long as the tiling and grouting are done to a decent standard it should be fine. Other way would be have some furrings made up from 20mm to 0mm fix to the wall then ply the wall and using a tanking kit on the ply ready for tiling.

You'll be fine to dot and dab it. No problem whatsoever.
