Exposed lintel on outside balcony

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.46 PM

Hi I have a first floor flat with balcony. Some rendering below the balcony has come away and exposed the lintel (which supports the balcony) The lintel shows some signs of rust. I was wondering what tradesperson is best to hire for the job and costs involved, I am assuming the lintel requires treatment and re rendering?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Sounds like you will need to get someone to rerender the walls for you. Would also get the lintel seen to before covering up could save you money in the long run.

hi there mate, it sounds like its the lintel above the door opening which has been exposed. may not to to change just re-rendered. if it does need replacing we would need to install a few acro props then take out and replace lintel brickwork and render. would cost around 300 to 400 pound just for labour.
