Screeding concrete floor that has dried vinyl adhesive
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.21 PM
Does a concrte floor have to have all the vinyl adhesive before a levelling screed is applied pripr to new floor laying. I have read a number of articles where there are different points of views. Usually the response is to remove all adhesive, even it is totally dried ( bugger to get off ). Other articles reference Balls, Stopgap Pro 1200 is OK to use over bitumen / old floor adhesives.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Ardex na is acceptable, but `it`s a crime not to prime`, so ALWAYS use a suitable flooring trade floor primer to be 100% sure.........

It would be best to remove all visible adhesive before screeding although there are different fballs products that will allow you to screed over minor residue.
