Can ants affect foundations of a house?

In the garden we currently have red ants nesting. I just would like to find out if they could affect the foundations of the house if they are not removed quickly enough.

It’s very tricky to try to treat a neast of ants. In time yes they can damage the fondation.
You can youse product like spray to kill insect.
You have to do something because in time can damage a lot
