Ask a questionBathroom Fitting
Is it a significant job to have a ventilation fan fitted into a bathroom?

I am considering getting a shower cubicle done and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to get a ventilation fan built in at the same time. Is it a big job to have hole taken out of outside wall and a fan put in?

wouldnt just b a good idea it is a neccesity, all bathrooms/toilets should have adequate ventilation to comply with regs ,also save you a fortune in future condensation/damp problems ,you can get light/vents now 2 for 1 light and a vent fitting and costs around 300 pounds

Only thing I would add is to try to get the fan fitted above the actual shower tray in the ceiling for best results and if you are worried about noise get an in-line fan and place the fan about a metre from the grill. check out screwfix, manrose in-line fan. 32 good reviews.
