Painting a wooden porch & bay window

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.42 PM

Hi, Can you paint an external wooden window/porch this time of year? Looking to renew the paint before putting the house on the market.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

agree with timothy, Bedec is a great paint. can always paint as long as its dry and will have a couple of days to dry properly. best time to paint is always after a week of good dry weather in summer though.

Yes you will need to sand it down to create a “key” in the timber then use an external primer/ undercoat and a external top coat whatever finish you were thinking really . Oil based would be best for all

So long as the area you are painting is dry and the weather isn't going to be frosty then your answer is yes, just make sure you prep the timber with a rub down first.
