Show drain and WC drains under slab

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.21 PM

Shower drain and WC drains under slab. I am doing a self build bathroom extension ground floor and have got to the stage of putting the concrete slab in. Foundations are in and built up to dpc level and have put WC soil pipe under concrete lintels into the inside of extension with bend to the surface. I am ready to put sand layer and hardcore below insulation and gas membrane. I want to put the shower drain under the slab and want to know if I can connect a 50 mm shower drain to the WC soil pipe which comes into the extension under lintels as described. Of course having a U water trap at the shower waste and the necessary slop 9-90mm per meter and 200mm down from the top of the soil pipe for offsets. This is what I can make out from tech guidance doc H building regs. Is my interpretation of regs right? If not any suggestions?? I don’t want to do all that and call the inspector out for an inspection before pouring the slab only to be told by inspector that it’s wrong ??!!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

All below ground drainage should be 100mm diameter and if within 600mm brlow a ground bearing slab should be haunched over with concrete.
