What kind of lock is this?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.22 PM

Hi all, Like a numpty, I managed to lose a set of keys to a bedroom door inside of my new flat within 8 days of moving in. I don't see a way to attach a picture but the key was a single mortice key but shorter than average- around 3 inches long - the door is just a single bedroom door with a normal handle, and the lock is actually under it (it's independent to the door handle). Silly way to describe it looking through the hole in the door is it's a standard "keyhole" shaped hole. Is there a way to find out if there's a standard key that opens this type of lock? Thank you, Adi

Sounds like an internal Sashlock probably 2 or 3 lever and should be easy enough to open

Hi Adi, It sounds like a 2 or 3 lever sashlock which can easily be opened but there won't be a standard key to use on the lock. Thanks
