Kitchen Fitting

vintage sink restoration

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.46 PM

Hi, I have a vintage retro type kitchen. I have an original 50s sink and unit but the sink is coming away from the wall and the unit is rotten.....ideally, i'd like to have a new unit in the retro style to fit the original sink or maybe have one made to fit and then fit it to the sink and fix it to the wall, seal it etc....but which trade would i hire to do this? Also, my sink tiling needs replacing. Would i hire a tiler to do this before or after the sink and unit job was done? Many thanks in advance!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hello, a competent kitchen fitter should be able to handle the entire project, alternatively, you could hire a kitchen fitter/carpenter to do the new unit, a plumber to fit the tap and sink, and then a tiler to tile. In that order. Hope that helps
