Hot water tap slows flow after hot water starts running

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.21 PM

Our en-suite sink hot tap slows to a weak trickle once the hot water starts flowing through. Turn tap on and the initial cold water runs fast and full, but once the heated water starts coming through it slows down to a weak flow almost just a trickle.. It’s the only tap that it happens with! Any clues as to why it happens? Running from a Combi boiler

Your problem is most likely caused by the tap washer expanding when the hot water comes through therefore reducing flow from the tap. Get a plumber to fit a new washer.

suspect faulty tap or washer, lack of pressure from combi if other hot tap is also running. airlock.
