Old Honeywell thermostat not turning heating off when set to zero

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.22 PM

Our old Honeywell thermostat is keeping the boiler on when the temperature is set to to the Minimal setting. With the weather being decent recently we just wanted the hot water heating so turned the temperature down. We have a conventional boiler with hot water tank. Is it easier to just replace it? We have just decorated the room it’s located so don’t want to be drilling more holes in the wall. Is there a like for like replacement?

Yes its probably a faulty room stat. If you can replace with the same make it will save you a few problems such as re drilling for fixings which may have different positions if you fit another make of room stat.
