Roofing

We had snow enter our roof space as we have many gaps where the under felt has fallen off, become ripped etc.

Do we need to re-roof, or can we go for some kind of foam spray to the underside of the tiles?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

re-roof ,foam spray sounds a cheap option which i guess would cause a whole lot of problems regards ventilation, never heard of spraying underside of tiles with foam before

spraying the underside of your tiles with foam will cause you major problems with ventilation and cause your timbers to rot long term, the cost of a strip and relay will not be a lot more than spray foam but will make your roof last a lot longer if your roof tiles are ok then your best option is a strip and relay. remove the old tiles and lathes/roof batons, put on a breathable membrane ,new lathes, re-lay the roof tiles and seal. best of luck alex
