Wall repair I did in bathroom blistering and cracking

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.42 PM

I had my bath/shower area re-tiled and waterproofed with a membrane properly a year ago as the original tiles were letting water through and the plaster was wet behind. This seems to have solved that issue. However, where the wall was water damaged past where the tiled edge came to, I repaired my self. I did the following: (It’s the interior side of an exterior Victoria plastered wall). Sanded the plaster Stain blocked Filled and sanded Stain blocked again Then painted It was perfect for about a week, but it’s all blistered and cracked now. Mainly around the edges of where I’ve repaired. I’m wondering if I didn’t let each stage dry enough, or if I just didn’t something wrong?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It seems that moisture is still getting through to it . Check the shower area , to see if it is leaking through .

You did it perfectly, but you have to check it better if you still have any leaking and when you make sure there is no water coming threw the shower, if is not coming any water let it dry and paint it with stain block
