Leak Sealer is it worth it?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.42 PM
Had some radiators replaced and a couple of elbows have been stretched so are leaking a bit, enough to have to empty a tub ever day. But suspect some other joints need some attention too. Would leak sealer be ok to use for a temporary solution till end of the month as conscious of how much it’ll cost to do. Although I’ve done soldering before, I’m not too keen to lift floorboards up to gain access and then my soldering not be up to par! Boiler is Main Combi 24 HE, if it helps!

Personally I don’t think it is worth using! I haven’t ever used it myself but from what I have heard, it doesn’t do the boiler any favours.
For the fact that the joints have been stretched I think it is probably worth getting a qualified plumber in to have a look at the new radiators installed and repair the work as you should never stretch pipework to make it fit.
Hope this helps.

I really don’t think it’s worth it because it can cause a lot of problem for your Bolier. Your Bolier will be blocked and also the manfuctuer won’t cover your Bolier warranty.
