Recommend a manufacture underfloor heating for bathroom under tiles

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.48 PM

There seems to be some many out there, can anyone recommend a good manufacture for underfloor heating for a bathoom to work under tiles. My bathroom is 9m x 9m but im not sure i would need to heat all of that. Is it possible to get the heating timer? Is it expensive to buy / install / run? Many thanks,

Three of the best suppliers around at the moment are DEVI UK, WARMUP and UHEAT. Thermostatic timers are usually included in the package and retail on their own for between £50 - £120 Don't be fooled by the ads saying low running costs! Electric underfloor heating is far from cheap to run, it pulls about 150w per sq metre of floor area and that's about the same as two normal light bulbs. Dont forget you need to heat up the floorcoverings etc before you can get any heat and when you do get some heat transfer you're stuck with that heat when you want to turn it off. It's a bit like storage heaters. One last thing, make sure you use an insulation board under the heating system so that you don't lose any heat into the floor below. Hope this helps.
