Hi There
tanking slurry is absolutely waste of money and time, you could worsen the problem. Tanking (waterproofing type c ) would be solution.

There are many ways to damp proof including a tanking system whether it's penetrating damp or Rising Damp you have to do it correctly if you're not experienced or skilled in this field I suggest you get a professional to do the job instead of trying to do it yourself

Take the existing plaster off to a mtr high. Inject dryzone fluid every 150mm into the lowest mortar bed to the floor. Apply a sand and cement render with the salt retarder fluid mixed in (also a good idea to paint the same fluid onto the brickwork before hand) important to keep the render 25mm above the finish floor.
Apply top coat skim.
Done this many times, had one call back. Took the skirting board off where the damp was showing, and the render about 50mm wide was touching the floor. Cleared the mortar, placed the skirting back....
Problem sorted.
