Advice please - knocking toilet and bathroom into one.

Hi all. We have a very small bathroom and WC. Had a small sink installed in to WC but have decided we would like to convert in to one large bathroom. Looking for advice on the best way to go about this - would it be better to buy a bathroom suite etc from B&Q/Victorian Plumbing etc and use their fitting servives or would it be better to try and find a bathroom fitter to supply and fit the bathroom. Do experienced fitters for example do the whole job - instalation, tiling, knocking down wall etc? Thanks in advance, all advice greatly appreciated.

Hi, I've been a bathroom fitter for 30 years and i would always prefer to supply the suite and valves etc myself as there is a lot of sub standard materials available online, also your bathroom fitter will know the best places to get these from as well as offer you a discount on materials because he can get them cheaper than you through trade outlets. The job should be agreed as a whole price not hourly or daily rates as this is sure to cause problems. As for the wall, well that's part of the job. Hope this helps, best of luck

Yes i can do the whole job.only use a shop if you are paying on finance,and exspect to pay two to three times moor .a local bathroom fitter should save you money,also sorce you own materials.

Hi large companies always charge more and if you get good tradesman ask for quote and set hours etc Always buy materials uours LG or ask for receipts after all you are paying the tradesperson an hourly rate:) Hope this helps tye Ps any descent tradesman will offer yours warranty :)

hi What i now the fitting service from company like B&q or Victoria plumbing they don t knocking down wall ... If you fund a bathroom fitter they will do everythink and they will help you to save money And they help you aswel whit the design of the bathroom The fitting services they now only to fit ,but the bathroom builder he now everythink what he need to do in the bathroom ! This is my oppinion
