Loft boarding Steel framed home
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.21 PM
I’m wanting to board out my loft for storage but have a steel framed home. Can I leave the boards unfixed or do I need to screw them into batons fixed to the steel joists? If so best way to fix timber to steel joists? Cheers

Hi..
OK no issue, all plasterboards need to be fixed into place.. Like for example, make a frame then fix the frame to the steel, then fix the plasterboards to the new timer frame, you will require a sds drill an a impact driver plus a steel sds bit to punch though the steel..
