Chimney & Fireplace

Attaching a metal class 1 flue to top of chimney stack in loft.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.42 PM

I have a chimney stack but it has been taken away above the roof. I want to install a logburner in the fireplace. Is it possible to join a class 1 metal flue to chimney in loft and then take this through the roof?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

you will need a vitreous new to stainless connector from log burner then if you have a chimney a stainless steel liner if your chimney doesn’t exist roof and finishes at loft you would need a stainless to twin wall conector you would need a fire break were flue passes through roof
