Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.20 PM
my 2 bed end if terrace ex-council house 1950's has poor ventilation in the bedrooms mostly and has mouldy damp in the corners spreading up the walls. my built in storage closet room is black with mould. iv asked for quotes to get som air bricks fitted 2 in each bedroom 1 in staìrway and 2 in lounge. iv already replaced windows with trickle vents about 18 months ago but hasnt helped.my q is the air bricks a possible solution secondly whats the likely cost of getting 7 air bricks fitted around as iv been quoted £1200 to £450. air bricks are so cheap to buy but was quoted £260 for materials alone...all sounds extreme so would be get some honest realistic advice and cost. thank you
