Tradesman that I hired called Marek 3 months ago

Hi, if I had a tradesman come and lay my floor 3 months ago and one of my laminate floor panels is showing signs of cracking am I able to get the tradesman back through my builder if he doesn’t respond to any of my messages or emails to correct this, especially as I would pay for the correction to be carried out even though It should be covered under the Marek guarantee for the works ?

I aways give a 12 month no quibble guarantee so any problems with work I can rectify them for free although in 15 years in my trade I have only been called back once. Sounds like the flooring has not had the gap to expand under the skirting boards usually your supposed to leave a small gap out of sight so that the wood can expand and retract with hot and cold air in the house as you may have noticed some doors become stiff in the seasons this is due to the wood flexing. Hope this helps
