Loft condensation

Hi, we insulated and boarded the loft in Summer. We are now seeing water drops in most areas of the loft. The water is on battens and tiles where the felt is cracked as we havent had any rain the last month, we dont think it is leak. we have left the loft hatch open for past couple of days to dry it out however i am unsure if that would make it worse as the hot air rises , touching the cold tiles how do we dry the loft air, wood and tiles in the meantime ? can somebody recommend cost effective remedies for air ventilation, we have marley wessex concrete tiles.

The situation you have is caused by lack of ventilation in your loft space.
When laying loft insulation whether from scratch or just topping up it's important to leave a 150mm gap around the eaves to allow the loft to breathe. If the pitch of the roof is low, thus making the loft space area much less.
Extractor fans from bathrooms are sometimes ducted through loft space. Making sure the ducting is not damaged is vital as this would transfer moisure from your bathroom to the loft space.
Introduce vents in the roof to promote optimum ventilation. Ventilation will equalise the loft temperature to that of the outside temperature.

You require ventilation, the easiest solution is to replace roof tiles with ventilation tiles and extractor fans.
