Hi How many bulk bags of ballast Will I need ? To cover 150 sq mtr at 100 mm thick

I bulk bag of ballast will cover 5.5m at 100mm (150 ÷5.5=) 27.3 hope it helps

hi you will need roughly 25 bulk bags bulk bags genuinely come with a minimum fill of 850kg many thanks

If using type 1 limestone ballast you will need 34.5 tonnes not allowing for waste etc

Have you thought about getting the ballest brought in loose on a grab lorry? You will need 25 tonne of 20mm ballest it will save you a lot of money getting it this way rather than in bags it’s around say £50 per bag or around say £30 per tonne. And you’ll probably need more than 25 bags.
