hello there if your water pressure is good then go with a combination boiler but make sure you get a 30 kw one as this will give you more hot water good cheapish boiler is a ideal logic plus you get five years warranty as well . mdp gas services (essex)

Changing to a new combi boiler shouldn't really affect the pressure you get upstairs when you already are using a combi and it's already adequate flow rate etc. I would agree 30KW or more for the hot water performance but the heating can be 'range-rated' down in the parameters if needed eg. maybe set the heating to 20KW if that's all you need but when you run a hot tap the water uses 30KW for better hot water. If you really wanted to improve the flow rate and had the room and money for it, the Viessmann Vitodens 111-W storage combi is pretty good. The main issue you are likely to have with any condensing combi boiler is that the gas pipe from the meter all the way to the boiler may need to be made bigger as modern condensing boilers work in a different way to your old boiler and require 22mm all the way to the boiler or some sections even larger than this. Hope this helps!
