Gable end upstairs inside large wet from both sides of chimney
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.59 PM
Last year I had the coping stones taken off and re-laid but the whole wall was wet again when it rained this week. How do I get this sorted properly as I have seen some houses with some cover sheets over the coping stones so water doesnt pass on the sides? should i get lead flashing put over the inside edge of the coping stone (skews)?

It could be a few things wrong, roof felt under tiles might need replacing, chimney might need pointing, lead flashing could be the problem but without looking it’s hard to say

Either pointing on chimney or flashings if nor slate or tile issues. Could also need pepper pot or lanterns instaling if already capped of may require air brick in stack
