Central Heating

Issue with not being able to have heating and hot water at the same time

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.41 PM

I recently had a new central heating system fitted. This was fine. then the same trades came back and installed an ensuite shower. Now the shower does not have hot water, the heating only works if the hot water is not run downstairs. The rad in the lounge with the thermostat no longer heats up like the other rads. The tradesperson is now not taking my calls/answering the phone/calling me back Do you know what the problem could be? thank you

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It's hard to say without knowing what boiler system you have. I'd call another boiler/Gas Safe Plumber out to investigate. You may have insufficient water pressure or flow or gas feed pipe may be wrong size. - Radiator is most probably a stuck thermostat pin. You blame the boiler fitter for that but he should have checked all the radiators before getting paid.
