F1 Fault on Ideal Boiler

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.59 PM

My boiler needs to be on for a good 30 minutes or so before we can use the hot water. If we use the hot water before 30 minutes it brings up a F1 error message and the whole thing will switch off

Have you checked the pressure in the system on the gauge. Its possible that after 30mins of being on the water expands in the system and provides a bit extra pressure that prevents the boiler going F1 whereas before that the boiler shuts down due to the lack of pressure.

F1 fault on an ideal is low pressure. Top up your boiler to around 1 to 1.5 bar when cold and that should resolve the issue.
