Tile advertised as wall & floor online actually a wall tile? Can I use them on bathroom floor?
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.44 PM
I ordered anatea lotus tiles online, they were meant to be floor and wall but on tile packaging it says wall tiles only. They are textured dry pressed ceramics, over 600N breaking strength, E>10%. Should I return/complain or lay them anyway?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi , you could use them but, in my experience low graded floor and wall tiles are easily chipped and damage easily, so best to avoid and return them and get a higher grade floor tile.

Hi, regarding to your question you can use them under one condition, they need to be installed by very professional and experienced tiler.
Because ceramic tiles are quite weak, and easy to crack or chip. 600N breaking strength is not much, but if the subfloor is prepared properly, is straight and flat, and the tiles need to be bedded on at leas of 90% their back space, than you can be sure that the big pressure (like walk) will not break the tile. I do not recommend it for large areas only for small ones like toilet room etc.
