Plumbing

no hot water in kitchen or shower

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.20 PM

Posted on here before, thanks Dave for your help im nearly there lol. Ok so i swapped over a bathroom suite and fitted new shower cublicle with 2 new radiators one downstairs in hallway and one in the bathroom. radiators back up and running but had no hot water in kitchen or bathroom taps but cold fine all over. Done what dave suggested and connected a hose tap to kitchen mixer tap and turned on warm then cold. water has started to come out of bathroom basin tap but nothing on bath taps or kitchen taps. Is this still an airlock? should i continue doing this tap and hose trick? the pressure seems to build up to a certain point in the kitchen tap when doing it and busts off? Thanks guys for all your help Tried again Dave. Now the kitchen tap has came to life not as high volume as use to be but nearly the same. So that's bathroom sink and kitchen sink working, should I keep going to see if the bath comes to life? I'm a scared of loosing all the water again lol. Btw my kitchen mixer tap has a very small end and it is very hard to get a connection to fit, I am literally holding it on myself while my partner operates the taps. I think I will go buy another tap to hose connection tomorrow?

did you put washing up liquid in hose ? you will have to keep it on for several minuets or go to loft and squirt washing up liquid into cylinder down service.
