What router bits are required to make a sink cut out in a Minerva worktop

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.43 PM

Want to make a cut out for an undermounted sink using a router. What router bits are required to get a straight cut and smooth finish on a Minerva worktop using a template? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You'll need a 1/2 shank router bit approx 60 mm long. Screwfix do them. Obviously a 1/2 inch router too, you should be able to hire one. Do not use speed clamps to hold the jig or template as they can move, decent G or F type clamps are best.

You will require a straight bit to cut out, and radius router bit to round edges. Take it slow and steady when you are routing out using the template. I'm sure your find installation videos on youtube. Good luck
