Should I buy a house that was a cannabis farm?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.19 PM

Should I buy a house that was a cannabis farm? Would it just require cosmetic work to get it up to liveable standards, or are there much worse implications I need to be aware of?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

the use of the house shouldn't really be a concern. i would look for any evident signs of structural damage however as ADR has quite rightly said any experienced surveyor should be able to aid in you purchase. good luck.

without looking at the house in question its impossible to answer this, your best bet is to pay for a survey of the property in question then you will have an idea if there are any major issues. good luck Alex

In regards to the house aslong as there isn’t noticeable damage or they’ve installed and modifications to house it shouldn’t be a problem, however without looking st the property I couldn’t really let you know. I’d advise you to st a survey before purchasing the house and this will tell you more in depth. Thanks, Ollie Baker.
