Aluminum skirting boards

How difficult is it to replace wooden skirting boards with Aluminum ones and what do you use to stick them and how do they look .

if you are refering to the slim aluminium skirting panel - usually 2mm thick. Then you would use construction adhesive, like pinkgrip.
