Very hot water in the taps

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.20 PM

Hi all, Please could you advise on what might be wrong with my CH system. The hot water in the tap is boiling hot since the heating came on on. Before then all was OK and it wasn't burning my hands but now it's just boiling. I turned the hot water thermostat on the cylinder way down but it did not help. Changed the thermostat and still the same. The only thing that seems to be helping is turning the heating off and switching to a summer mode but this isn't an option really, not now. Any ideas what could be wrong? It is a vailant system boiler CH with the old cylinder still in airing cupboard. Boiler itself is 5 years old I think and serviced every year. Your advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like it could be an issue with the none return valve. This is a motor that separates the systems and can sometimes become faulty

Check control wiring is switching properly. Sounds more like HW zone valve open permaanently

it sounds like a problem with either a zone valve or three port valve, usualy next to cylinder.
