Carpets, Lino & Flooring

carpet, laminate skirting and architraves

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.43 PM

Hi, just a quick one - we will shortly be in need of fitting new floors all around the house. We also need skirting and new architraves fitted. Would a carpet/floor fitter do this job or do we need someone else? Thanks, Lydia

Unfortunately it wouldn't be floor fitters responsibility

Hi Lydia, This would require a joiner to fit the architraves and skirtings, thanks, Jason

For the rooms that may be having laminate/engineered/solid wood flooring i would look to employ a carpenter, that would then also fit the archs and skirts

For all wooden flooring and skirting a carpenter would be 1st choice but a floor layer can do carpet and laminate but may not be best for the skirting unless they have good experience fitting skirting

For all the work your looking to carry out, you would need to be looking at a carpenter to come and do this for you as they cover all of them aspects

hi you would need a qualified flooring installer not a joiner or builder to install your flooring and then a joiner to fit the arcs and skirts.
