Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.19 PM

Hi Just a quick question we are building a lean to wall timer canopy with corrugated plastic sheets, the boiler flue (condensing boiler) will be under this by around 45cm from the roof sheets, the canopy is all open on both sides and front is this ok? Any advice will be appreciated thank you

You would need to consult the manufactures installation instructions for the specific make and model of boiler

I have this myself. Ventilation should not be a problem if sides are open. But.., in the winter you will get condensation build up on under side of plaster. Of course the colder it is the more your boiler is on and it can get soaked. The timbers will stain and u can get to stage that water drips off beams and fixing points. If possible extend through roof. But consult qualified engineer. Hope that helps.
