If there might be a leak in the bathroom, does the plumber need to be insured?

Is it safe to have a plumber with NVQ Level 2 look at and possibly mend a leaky pipe in the bathroom, or do I need someone who is highly insured?

nvq2 just a bit of paper really, entry level qualification, but that does not mean he will not be able to fix it,but never employ a plumber who has no insurance.

Qualifications are just a peice of paper at the end of the day if you have a plumber who is confident in fixing the leak then they is no problem . Insurance is just for your peice of mind

Could you please go on YouTube and see how to sort the problem yourself first. It could be nut on a waste needed a little nip very often.
In regards NVQ. I saw Gas safe registered person which could not run pipe straight. So ask your friends, colleagues, neighbors, family for a plumber they are using. Company I am working for has 10 million cover. Domestic plumbing company should be covered by 1million. But when it needed, I don't really understand. Good trader will go back to you to say sorry and rectifies any problems without any insurance triggered.
