Is my Vailant boiler supposed to fire up all the time?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.40 PM

I have a vailant boiler which drives me insane as it fires up for about 2 minutes, has a 1 minute break and then fires up again. It does it even if I use the wall controls to turn the heating off, or if it’s on timer it will fire up constantly even when the heating isn’t due to be on. The only thing that stops it is if I turn the heating to ‘off’ on the boiler controls itself... which is no good in the winter as I need it on timer. Is this normal? I don’t want to pay someone to come out if it’s not a problem. But I can’t seem to get an answer from anyone as to whether this is how a boiler should behave. I’ve seen other similar questions and most people suggest that comfort mode is on but it definitely isn’t. Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
