Damp Proofing

I have a 2 year old house, i recentley noticed that i had a wet looking patch on an outside wall, the airbricked were covered with shingle, how high should the airbricks be?

after pestering the builders since july they finally came and raked the shingle into a heap so the airbricks now sit level to the ground in front of them but have a pile of shingle next to them and next doors drive is higher, is this normal?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

no ,they have skimped on the grading of the site ,thus reducing muck away costs, sounds like the site is on a gradient ,you will probably have damp issues if you are at the lower end of this plot

The air brickk will be below your damp course, the ground level should never be higher than a brick below the air brick, ie 2 bricks below damp course. Thats basics and if they are bodging that i would run a mile
