Electric shower thermostat?

Okay so my electric shower isn't giving any hot water. Rest of the house is okay. I've changed the heating element and still no luck. I'm told it could be the thermostat. I've take the face of the shower off (triton ivory 4) but cant locate the thermostat. Would it definitely be here or would it be hidden behind the wall maybe? Where would it normally be and what does it look like?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Whilst I am not a plumber , I had exactly the same problem with my shower , it was caused by not enough water pressure to activate the heating element. The plumber just adjusted this with the isolation valve

As Paul said above, I too have come across this problem with having not enough water pressure to activate the element,
But also, yes the thermostat is inside the actual shower unit.. it’s looks like a black circle with two brass mounting brackets, one on either side.. Hope this helps in some way..
