What varnish for wooden front door

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

My front door is solid wood and is exposed to weather, as expected. Two years ago I sealed the gaps with wood filler, sanded and varnished with 3 coats of Roseal Yacht Varnish, hoping to be sorted for good while. Yet after last winter and summer, the door is back to where it was two years ago, with cracks and varnish as if it had all gone. I would like to change varnish to a good, durable one, any advice? Many thanks

Hi, Yatch varnish is for salt water conditions. You should use RONSEAL OUTDOOR varnish. Regards
