Hi. Durable matt is as it suggests....more durable. So i guess it depends on what you are looking for and in what application (area of the house) you are painting. There are better paints available than dulux retail. There are a lot of 100%acrylic paints on the market that are very durable. Hopfully find a good independant decorator mechant and have a chat with them. Remember however that contarary to most advice given a mist coated new plaster wall/ceiling is not 'sealed' it will still be 'warm'.....porous. So any initial finish coats need to be eased with water to avoid heavy roller/brush marks and ensure longevity of the coating

Dulux trade matt will work just as efficient and is cheaper than dulux standard paint and the coverage is spot on to. I hope this has helped

Hi, in the high traffic areas of your house i.e hallway, stairs and landing i would advise durable emulsion as this is tougher and more resistant to damage. In most other areas i would recommend vinyl matt. Even though you say your walls have a mist coat on them i would advise that at least one more coat should be applied with water mixed in. I hope this has been helpful to you.

Dulux diamond matt is a great product, as is armstead durable matt...which is a little cheaper than the diamond matt. Both are good products. Dulux vinyl matt has a new and improved formula, which does make a difference. The coverage is great, not quite as tough as durable/diamond. Pop into your local Dulux decorator centre, im sure they will be happy to help.
