Washing machine not filling with water

following a burst pipe in bathroom and water being turned off at stop cock water not filling in washing machine. when water back on everything else okay. Appliance centre saying it is a water problem not washer.

I would turn water off from stop cock , I would disconnect washing machine hose from washing machine . put the hose in a bucket , turn on the stop cock briefly , and back off , if you have water in the bucket you know you have water going to the washing machine. please note I would have two people doing this one to hold the hose in the bucket . if you do not I would check to see if you have a faulty non return valve , or isolation valve down the line turned off . hope that helps Andy
