Do I need to change the frame if I want to change my UPVC front door?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.47 PM

It's the front door of my home I wish to change which is an UPVC door. It has a glass plane above, and to either side of it in its own sectioned frame

If you have a panel UPVC door it should be possible to change the panel only and therefore giving you a new fresh look. The panel sits in the sash of the door casement. If your changing because the door casement is damaged then normally it would be best practice to replace the frame aswell as the gaskets and seals are probably old and perished and may not give you a good weather tight seal, this would also mean changing the top and side windows as well, so I appreciate your problem. You could probably replace all for around £1500. Hope this helps Stewart Safehouse
