use of lime mortar in October

Hi Folks I need to use some nhl 3.5 lime mortar either next week or in early October. It's on a gable end of a house, outside and about 4m above ground level. I won't be able to cover the work at all. Is this too late in the year to be using lime. Any advice appreciated

Just check what the weather is predicting it will need to be 5% or above for the first 3-5days if the temperature if going to drop below that especially overnight leave it till next year. Good luck Alex

It will be fine unless the temperature drops very low, we are using 3.5 still this time a year on alot of historic monuments with no issues, if concerned insulate work with blankets pegged onto ropes if accessible that way.
