1st floor bay window stopping 6 meter ground floor extension

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.58 PM

Hi all I wanted to take advantage of the government rule on extending my rear kitchen by 6 meter before they change it back end of May. I had and architect come round and he said its not a problem but then realized that there is a bay window on the 1st floor bedroom. I live in London in the borough of redbridge and he advise that the council member that approves the extension planning keeps rejecting 6 meter extensions if there is a bay window above and deems it a 2 story extension. Is this correct and is there any way around it as i dont want to have a 3.5 meter extension and would prefer the 6 meter. Many thanks
